In 2007, Advertising Week™, the advertising industry's largest and most glamorous conference, wanted to create an extension of its real life event in the virtual world of Second Life™. Not only was this the conference's first foray into virtual worlds, it was also new for many of its corporate sponsor, companies such as Yahoo!™, AOL™, UniVision™, CBS Radio™ and a host of smaller firms. Popcha!™ was called in to create an epic build inspired by the Bryant Park area of New York City. In addition to a virtual showroom floor and theater, we added storefronts around the avenues for each of the top tier sponsors, in effect giving each of them a Second Life™ presence.
